Fairview Recreation Center to Open to Assist

Residents Still Without Power

The shower and restroom facilities at Fairview Recreation Center will be available for

use beginning on Sunday 9 September from 10 AM until 8 PM for residents who still

may be without power. Fairview Recreation Center shower facilities will remain

available for use during normal weekday hours from 12 PM until 9 PM. Individuals using

the shower facilities should bring with them their own towel and bathing articles. An

American Red Cross Representative will also be on site during the Recreation Center

Operating periods.

The Office of Emergency Management would like to ask the media’s assistance in getting

this information to the public and continuing to inform the public as long as the Recreation

Center is open to assist Anchorage residents.
