During a busy morning commute, a dog stepped onto a New Jersey Transit train at Mountain Station. Commuters on the train were surprised and amused to see this adorable white pooch just to hang out, along for the ride.
The dog rode to Hoboken Terminal before New Jersey Transit officers called around to co-workers near the Mountain Station – but couldn't find the owner. Unfortunately, the dog didn't have a microchip.
So, the officers took the dog in – and posted a message about the dog's adventures on social media.
The story was shared online and the dog's worried owner finally saw the story and learned what had been going on. Just a few days after the dog had hopped on the train, New Jersey Transit Police confirmed that the dog's owner had been tracked down – and the pup had returned home.
